This Large Blue Agave plant is a brand new specialty here at Mayfield. Just added to our stunning plant collection this beauty is a Desert staple. These plants adorn the front patios, Desert Oasis areas, and Backyard retreats of Tucson homes large and small. They are also the perfect desert decor in hotels, office buildings, hospitals, and any other place where someone is looking to beautify using natural elements of the desert.

Incredibly hardy these plants are tough as nails, literally! The silver blue foliage is a stiff texture and the pointed ends of the leaves are not only eerily beautiful but serve as the protector of the plant! Be careful, if you get pricked by these suckers it will hurt for days!

But even with their dangerous elements this plant is amazing! They can grow to be quite large and can be alive for decades before their final hoorah, that being a stunning bloom that can shoot up to 30 feet in the air and lasts for weeks before fading away... taking the plant with it.

And a fun side note... Tequila comes from the roots of this variety of Agave!

Show of your desert sophisticated knowledge by sending this one to a loved one who either has an abundance of desert life in their yard or has just moved to Tucson and wants to start a collection of local wildlife!
